Celebrities React to Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show: Adam Sandler, Kerry Washington Show Support While Jake Paul Shares Distaste

Celebrities are talking about Bad Bunny's 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.

The Puerto Rican rapper and singer performed on Sunday night at the big event, known as the NFL field.

He sang some of his popular songs, shared the stage with Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, and ended with two strong messages: "The only thing more powerful than hate is love" and "Together, We Are America."

After his 13-minute performance, people started sharing their thoughts online.

Many famous people used social media to comment on Bad Bunny's performance, especially since he won a Grammy.

Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves said on X, "Well.

That made me feel more proudly American than anything Kid Rock has ever done." She was responding to an alternative halftime show by Turning Point USA, where Kid Rock performed.

John Mellencamp shared on X, "I don't know what Bad Bunny is saying, however, I do know he is standing up for Puerto Rico and I am standing up for him.

His half time show was great."

Adam Sandler, who co-starred with Bad Bunny in *Happy Gilmore 2*, told Entertainment Tonight that the show was "unbelievable.

" He added, "Loose, happy, made everybody ecstatic. I loved it and congrats to the Bunny. He's a great human being."

Jake Paul, on the other hand, didn't like the performance.

He wrote on X, "Purposefully turning off the halftime show."

He continued, "Let's rally together and show big corporations they can't just do whatever they want without consequences (which equals viewership for them).

You are their benefit. Realize you have power. Turn off this halftime. A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that."

Jake's brother, Logan Paul, replied to his post saying, "I love my brother but I don't agree with this.

" Logan added, "Puerto Ricans are Americans & I'm happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island."

Former President Donald Trump also commented, calling the performance "absolutely terrible" and "disgusting.

" He said, "Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World."

Scandal actress Kerry Washington said on Threads, "That performance was the epitome of LOVE.

" She added, "And a wise man once said 'the only thing more powerful than hate is LOVE.'"

In another post, she wrote, "I don't know if I'll ever recover from that..."

On her Instagram Story, Camila Cabello shared a clip of the performance, writing in Spanish, "Long live our beautiful Latin culture!!!!

 And congratulations, Benito!"

Jimmy Fallon shared a photo of himself in a look similar to Bad Bunny's, wearing a straw hat, and wrote the title of his Grammy-winning album, "DeBó TiRAR MÁS FOToS.

" Elmo, the beloved Muppet, called the performance "AMAZING.

" He said, "That Bunny was AMAZING. Elmo thinks he should be called Good Bunny! Elmo loves you, Mr. Good Bunny!"

California Governor Gavin Newsom wrote, "America, the beautiful.

THANK YOU, BAD BUNNY," while former NFL player JJ Watt said, "Did I understand a single word of it? I did not. Was it a vibe? It was."

Before the 2026 Super Bowl, Jennifer Lopez, who once headlined the event, wished Bad Bunny good luck on X.

She wrote, "Bad Bunny... sending you all the love, positivity and the biggest hug in the world.

We are all with you tonight! I know you're gonna crush it. I'm here with you the same way you were there for me. So proud to be Boricua! Dale fuerte Benito. The way only you can do it! #LatinoGangGang."
