Kristen Bell will be back as the host of the 2026 Actor Awards, which are organized by SAG-AFTRA. These awards, which used to be called the SAG Awards, will be broadcast on March 1.
In a news statement, Bell said, "I've enjoyed hosting the show every time, so it was an easy choice to come back for a third time."
She also said she's excited to do what actors do best—sing.
Bell hosted the previous year's ceremony.
She started with a musical opening that was a tribute to the journey of actors, using the lyrics from the Frozen song "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" She asked the audience, "Do you want to be an actor?" while showing pictures of actors like Timothée Chalamet, Harrison Ford, and Selena Gomez when they first started their careers. In 2018, Bell was the first host of the Actor Awards since they began in 1995. The next year, Megan Mullally took over. However, the awards didn't have a host again until Bell returned in 2025.
Jon Brockett, the showrunner and executive producer for the Actor Awards, said in the same news release, "Kristen Bell knows this show, she knows this community, and she knows how to keep everyone entertained and laughing without losing the heart of the night.
Having Kristen come back to host feels like welcoming back a family member. Someone you'd actually want to hang out with."
One Battle After Another is leading in film nominations with seven.
Sinners is not far behind with five. On the TV side, The Studio is first with five nominations, followed by Adolescence and The White Lotus, each with four.
The 32nd annual Actor Awards will air live on Netflix on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall.
Silent House Productions will produce the event again, with Brockett as showrunner and executive producer along with Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco, and Linda Gierahn, who will also serve as executive producers.
