Vin Diesel, who is a main star and producer of the popular car series, hinted that the famous soccer player might be in the next big movie of the series.
He shared a photo with Ronaldo on Instagram, both giving thumbs up. In the caption, Diesel said he created a role specifically for Ronaldo.
He wrote, "Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you he is a real one," and added, "We wrote a role for him…"
The Hollywood Reporter tried to get comments from Diesel and Ronaldo's teams, but didn't get a response by the time the article was published.
Even though there's no official confirmation yet that Ronaldo will be in the 11th Fast movie, Diesel mentioned that Paul Walker's character, Brian O'Conner, might show up.
At a fan event in June, he said the movie will come out in April 2027, a date he agreed to with Universal Studios "under three conditions."
He explained, "Just yesterday I was with Universal Studios… The studio said to me, 'Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast & Furious in April 2027?'
I said, 'Under three conditions because I've been listening to my fan base.'" These conditions included returning to Los Angeles, focusing on car culture and street racing, and bringing back his character and Walker's character on screen.
He said, "The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O'Conner.
That is what you're going to get in the finale."
Paul Walker passed away in a car accident on November 30, 2013, while filming Fast & Furious 7.
Not all of his scenes were finished, but his character was able to appear in the final scene using CGI, visual effects, and his brothers, Cody and Caleb Walker, to create 350 shots.
The last scene of Fast & Furious 7 showed Diesel's Dominic Toretto and Walker's Brian O'Conner having a final moment together in their cars before going their separate ways.
The visual effects supervisor, Joe Letteri, explained how they completed the scene using CGI, VFX, and Walker's brothers. He also said the moment was very meaningful, and they wanted fans to feel like they were watching Paul's performance and saying goodbye.
