‘It: Welcome to Derry’ Hits 5.8 Million Viewers and ‘I Love L.A.’ Reaches 1 Million, Two Series Highs for HBO

 On Sunday, HBO showed the seventh episode of "It: Welcome to Derry" and the sixth episode of "I Love L.A." and both did really well, reaching their highest viewership numbers so far.


The seventh episode of "It: Welcome to Derry" had 5.8 million viewers on HBO and HBO Max in the first three days.

 This number includes people who watched it on the cable version of HBO and those who streamed it on HBO Max. This episode helped the show's average viewership rise to 10.7 million per episode so far, and the total number of people who have watched the series is now 18.3 million. According to Warner Bros. Discovery, "It: Welcome to Derry" is one of the top three biggest debuts ever on HBO Max, right behind "The Last of Us" and "House of the Dragon." The company also says that conversations about the show have grown by nearly 60% each week since it started, and the seventh episode did even better than the first, with a 300% increase in viewership.

Rachel Sennott created and stars in "I Love L.A." She also executive produces the show along with Emma Barrie, Aida Rodgers, Max Silvestri, and Lorene Scafaria.

Muschietti worked with his sister Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs to develop "It: Welcome to Derry" for TV.

 The show's executive producers include the Muschiettis through their Double Dream production company, Fuchs, Skarsgård, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin. Fuchs wrote the first episode and co-showruns the series with Kane, while Muschietti directs several episodes.
