This is the third movie since the "Evil Dead" series started again in 2013 and the sixth movie in the whole franchise.
It first came out in theaters on July 10.Directed by Sébastien Vaniček, the movie stars Souheila Yacoub from "Dune: Part Two" as a woman who is trying to find comfort from her in-laws after her husband passes away.Their family gathering at a quiet house turns into a terrifying event when the family members become Deadites.
The film also features Hunter Doohan from "Wednesday" and "Daredevil: Born Again," Luciane Buchanan from "The Night Agent," Tandi Wright from "Pearl," Erroll Shand from "Chief of War," George Pullar from "It Only Takes a Night," and Maude Davey from "The Newsreader."
The "Evil Dead" horror series was created by Sam Raimi and now has six films and a TV show.
The story follows different characters who face evil creatures called Deadites, which are brought to life using a magical book of the dead.In the first, fourth, and fifth movies, the book is called the Naturom Demonto, and in the second, third, and sixth, it's called the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis.
The original trilogy featured Bruce Campbell in "The Evil Dead" (1981), "Evil Dead II" (1987), and "Army of Darkness" (1992).
The series continued with the 2013 movie "Evil Dead," and Campbell returned in the TV show "Ash vs Evil Dead," which ran from 2015 to 2018.The fifth movie in the series, "Evil Dead Rise," was released in 2023.A seventh movie, "Evil Dead Wrath," directed by Francis Galluppi, is set for release in April 2028.
Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert produced the movie under their Ghost House Pictures label.
Bruce Campbell, Romel Adam, Lee Cronin, and Jose Cañas were the executive producers.
