Showbox, a Korean film and content company, has started a new microdrama line called Showbite. They'll begin releasing original short-form content in September. The content will cover many different genres, including romance, comedy, revenge, action-thriller, period dramas, fantasy, mystery, and horror.

In the romance category, there's "Taste of You," a BL enemies-to-lovers story set in a cooking competition world.

There's also "Love in Thailand," a romantic comedy at a golf resort.Other romance titles include "The New Hire Is Too Hot to Handle," which is an office romance with a unique setup; "Love, Again," which follows a second-chance romance with lost memories and a reunion; and "My Ex-Bias Problem," a romantic comedy about an arrogant K-pop idol whose life changes after being sent to a remote village.

Showbite's revenge-themed projects include "The Fallen Heiress Returns Wicked," "They Messed with the Wrong Daughter-in-Law," and "Contract Marriage: The Heir's Hound." The label will also release the action crime-thriller "Asura: Return of the Reaper."

The lineup also includes historical and fantasy stories.

"The Secret Wife Exchange" is a period drama set in Joseon society, and "Her Royal Queen Energy" is a reincarnation fantasy set in an alternative modern Korean monarchy.

Mystery and horror are also heavily featured.

"Bridal Shower: The Missing Bride" is a mystery comedy with lots of twists, while "The Fallen Idol Is Possessed!" mixes K-pop, romance, and supernatural elements. "Lucky Horror Live Show" is a horror thriller about a livestream that becomes frightening.

Showbox says Showbite is meant to combine its storytelling experience with the fast pace of short-form dramas, bringing Korean stories to a global audience.

Showbite will be at Broadcast Worldwide in Seoul and the Busan International Film Festival's Asian Contents & Film Market, where it plans to meet with partners both locally and internationally to grow its distribution network.

The label will start official TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube accounts under the Showbite name in early September, with updates on upcoming projects shared through these platforms.
