CinemaCon 2026 ended with two big presentations.
On one side was Paramount, whose plan to merge with Warner Bros. Discovery is very important for theater owners who want more movies and longer time to show them. On the other side was Disney, who has made a lot of big movies that made a lot of money, but also has been questioned about the future of some of its big properties like Star Wars and Marvel.
Both studios gave theater owners a lot to be excited about.
Here are the main updates from the last day of CinemaCon 2026.
Top Gun 3 (in development)
Tom Cruise, CinemaCon's favorite actor, will be back in the cockpit again.
Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein, co-chairs of Paramount Pictures, said that. Top Gun 3 is currently in the making, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer is back on board.
Call of Duty (June 30, 2028)
Director Peter Berg and Taylor Sheridan are teaming up to make a movie based on the popular video game series.
They want to tell a real story that's big in scale, which is a way of saying they plan to make more movies based on the same story.
Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, 2026)
The CinemaCon crowd saw a special preview of the new trailer, and it was really intense.
It includes fan-favorite characters, Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, and the return of Steve Rogers. We will have to wait before the trailer is shown publicly.
Avengers: Endgame (returning to theaters September 25, 2026)
Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, also announced a new type of movie experience called Infinity Vision.
It will have big screens, laser projectors, and powerful sound. It's still a bit unclear, but it's a good step forward for the movie theater experience. Audiences can try it out in September when Avengers: Endgame comes back to theaters in Infinity Vision with new footage that hasn't been seen before.
