F1: The Movie, KPop Demon Hunters, and Becoming Led Zeppelin were some of the movies that won awards at the Cinema Audio Society Awards on Saturday night.
Other TV shows that did well in their categories were The Studio, Adolescence, and The Pitt.
The event was hosted by Chris Hardwick at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
During the night, Skip Lievsay from CAS was given the CAS Career Achievement Award, and Guillermo del Toro got the Filmmaker Award. This year, the Cinema Audio Society introduced the Jeffrey S. Wexler Award for Advancement in Sound Technology, and it was presented to Evan Brooks, Peter Gotcher, Glenn Sanders, and Howard Stark.
Mingxi Xu also won the CAS Student Recognition Award and received a $5,000 prize.
CAS president Peter Kurland said, "Tonight we celebrate the very best of our profession.
Sound mixing needs both technical skill and artistic intent, and these people show the precision, creativity, and hard work that are part of our job. We are happy to recognize those who keep raising the standard for our industry."
F1 is also up for the 2026 Academy Award for sound, along with Frankenstein, One Battle After Another, Sinners, and Sirat.
Last year, the CAS gave the live action motion picture award to A Complete Unknown, and in 2024, Oppenheimer won the top honor at the CAS Awards. In the three years before that, the CAS winning film also won the Academy Award.
