"Baldur's Gate" is part of the "Dungeons & Dragons" franchise.
The first game in the series came out in 1998. The latest game, "Baldur's Gate 3," was released in 2023 and was very successful, both with critics and fans. It won all five major Game of the Year awards and had over 15 million players.
Mazin shared his thoughts in a statement, saying, "After spending nearly 1000 hours in the amazing world of 'Baldur's Gate 3,' it's a dream to continue the story that Larian and Wizards of The Coast created.
