Taylor Swift, Alanis Morissette, Kenny Loggins, and Walter Afanasieff will be honored at the Songwriters Hall of Fame on June 11 in New York City.
Other inductees for 2026 include Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons from the band KISS, and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart.
These songwriters are being recognized for their work on famous songs and memorable concerts. Their hits include "All I Want for Christmas Is You," "Hand in My Pocket," "Rock and Roll All Nite," "What's Love Got to Do With It," "Footloose," "Single Ladies," and Taylor Swift's 10-minute version of "All Too Well."
The Songwriters Hall of Fame will also announce additional special award winners for the 2026 gala soon.
In a statement, Nile Rodgers, chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, said, "The music industry is built upon the incredible talent of songwriters who create unforgettable songs.
Without their artistry, there would be no recorded music, concert experiences, or engaged fans. Everything originates from the song and its creator. We take great pride in our ongoing commitment to recognizing some of the most culturally significant composers in history."
He added, "This year's lineup not only showcases iconic songs but also celebrates unity across various genres.
These songwriters have profoundly impacted the lives of billions of listeners worldwide, and it is our privilege to honor their contributions."
To be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, artists must have written a major catalog of songs with successful commercial releases.
Taylor Swift has also written hits like "Blank Space," "Anti-Hero," "Love Story," and "The Last Great American Dynasty."
Alanis Morissette is well-known for songs such as "You Oughta Know," "Ironic," "Hand in My Pocket," and "Uninvited."
Walter Afanasieff, who has often worked with Mariah Carey, has written hits like "All I Want for Christmas Is You," "My All," "Hero," "Love Will Survive," and "One Sweet Day."
