Vecna is back with a big move!
Netflix had some problems on Wednesday night when the final episode of "Stranger Things" came out.
This wasn’t the first time Netflix had issues with the show. A few weeks ago, on November 26, there were technical problems when the first four episodes of Season 5 launched.
The streamer crashed at 5 p.m. PT, right when the finale was supposed to start.
The crash lasted about a minute and got fixed after users tried refreshing. Like last time, people who saw the error got a picture from "Nailed It!" with the message: "Something went wrong. Sorry, we're having trouble with your request. You'll find lots to explore on the home page."
During the November 26 crash, Netflix was offline for about five minutes when the first four episodes of Season 5 came out at 5 p.m. PT.
Season 4 also had some issues back in July 2022 when the final episodes dropped. Outside of the Upside Down, Netflix had livestream problems when the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match aired live last year.
Netflix made it through the second batch of "Stranger Things" Season 5 episodes, which came out on Christmas Day and had no technical issues.
Those episodes helped Netflix get the most viewers ever on Christmas Day. Season 5 was the most-watched show worldwide because of the three new episodes. From December 22 to 28, the final season got 34.5 million views. That was the second-highest weekly total for the season after its debut, which had 59.6 million views in November — the best opening week ever for an English-language title on Netflix.
The highly anticipated series finale also premiered in select theaters on New Year's Eve.
Co-creator Ross Duffer said 1.1 million people have signed up for the theater screenings. He added that 3,500 showings are sold out across 620 theaters.
" What a way to close out a 10-year journey — together," he wrote on Instagram with his brother and co-creator Matt Duffer.
"Maybe we'll see some of you in LA."
