Watch out, Elon and Larry, there's a new celebrity billionaire around.
Beyoncé is now worth over a billion dollars, according to Forbes, which has been tracking the wealth of the ultra-rich for a long time.
The business magazine said on Monday that Beyoncé now has three commas in her name, thanks to the success of her album *Cowboy Carter* and her *The Renaissance World Tour*.
While some celebrities have built their wealth through smart investments, consumer brands, and startups (like Ryan Reynolds, Ashton Kutcher, and Kim Kardashian), Beyoncé's fortune is closely tied to her music.
She has almost total control over her music, which plays a big role in her net worth.
Beyoncé joins a small group of musicians and entertainers who have reached the billion-dollar mark.
This group includes her husband, Jay-Z, as well as Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, and Rihanna (thanks to her Fenty brand).
Other celebrities who have made it to the billionaire club include Jerry Seinfeld, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dick Wolf, Steven Spielberg, Tyler Perry, LeBron James, Tiger Woods, Oprah Winfrey, Peter Jackson, Magic Johnson, and George Lucas.
However, most of these celebrities are just barely over the billion-dollar line.
Spielberg is the top among them, with a net worth of more than $5 billion. That doesn’t even come close to the wealth of tech giants like Elon Musk, Larry Ellison, Jensen Huang, and Jeff Bezos.
Musk’s net worth has increased by $333 billion this year alone.
Larry Page, co-founder of Google, has seen his net worth jump by nearly $100 billion, while Huang’s has gone up by $42 billion. Larry Ellison, who is helping his son David Ellison with his bid for Warner Bros. Discovery, has increased his net worth by $40 billion this year—despite Oracle stock recently dropping.
So, Beyoncé still has a long way to go.
