Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Renewed for Season 4

Fresh from the conclusion (maybe?) of Yellowstone, another Taylor Sheridan series has been renewed. "Mayor of Kingstown" will return for Season 4, Paramount+ announced on Wednesday, ensuring the return of Jeremy Renner's Mike McCluskey.

Sheridan co-created the drama series with Hugh Dillon, and Season 3 was the No. 1 series on Paramount+ throughout its entire run.

In Season 3, a series of explosions shook Kingstown and its residents as Russian mob recruits gained a foothold in the city and a drug war raged inside and outside the prison walls. Mike McCluskey is under pressure to end the war, but things get complicated when a familiar face from his prison past threatens to ruin the mayor's attempts to keep the peace between all the factions. Renner returned to "The Mayor of Kingstown" for season three after a near-fatal snowplow accident in 2023.

The series is one of several shows Sheridan has produced for Paramount+, including "The Landman," "1923," "Lioness," "Tulsa King," "1883," and "Lawmen: Bass Reeves." His latest project, the "Yellowstone" spinoff "The Madison," starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Fox, is gearing up to begin production.

"The Mayor of Kingstown" is executive produced by Sheridan, Dillon, Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hatkin, Michael Friedman, Dave Erickson, Christophe Schloe, Wendy Lys Gatsionis, Evan Perazzo, and Keith Cox. Erickson also serves as showrunner and writer for the series. "Mayor of Kingstown" is produced exclusively for Paramount+ by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions.
