At a live fan event in Atlanta in September, Netflix released new video from the upcoming season. In addition to Thing (Victor Dorobantu), the original cast members Ortega, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Luis Guzmán, and Catherine Zeta-Jones were back on the Nevermore Academy set for the video.
Lady Gaga, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O'Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo are among the well-known figures the show has lined up for season two. In the Addams Family movie from 1991, Lloyd portrayed Uncle Fester.
In contrast to the first season, which was mostly filmed in Romania, filming for this season started in May in Ireland. When Wednesday's first season debuted in 2023, it was the most watched English-language series on Netflix, with 252 million views, and was in the streamer's worldwide Top 10 for 20 weeks. Wednesday's goal in season one was to find the mystery giant that was wreaking havoc at Nevermore.
