Tom Holland in Talks to Star in Christopher Nolan’s Next Movie

Tom Holland is being considered for the upcoming film directed by Christopher Nolan.

The actor from "Spider-Man" would star alongside Matt Damon in the film, which is otherwise classified. Nolan is composing and coordinating the film, which General Pictures is delivering in auditoriums on July 17, 2026.

All inclusive had no remark about Holland's projecting.

The upcoming film, which has no title yet, is expected to start filming in early 2025. However, Holland's casting may impede production schedules. As first reported by the Hollywood Reporter, the actor, best known for his role as Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be busy working on "Spider-Man 4" and possibly the next "Avengers" movie over the next year and a half. Holland appeared alongside Francesca Amewudah-Rivers in the West End production of "Romeo & Juliet" in between roles as your typical Spider-Man.

This project brings Nolan back together with the studio that supported his hugely successful historical drama "Oppenheimer," which earned $975 million worldwide at the box office and won the Oscar for best picture in addition to six other awards. Nolan broke off a nearly two-decade-long creative partnership with Warner Bros., the company that has supported many of his biggest blockbusters, including "The Dark Knight" trilogy, "Inception," and "Dunkirk." The three-hour, R-rated period piece was Nolan's first collaboration with Universal. Instead of shopping the sequel to "Oppenheimer" around town, Nolan reportedly went straight to Universal. The "Oppenheimer" employees included a who's who of Hollywood stars, including Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Damon, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, and Josh Hartnett. Therefore, it is safe to assume that Damon and Holland will soon be joined by a slew of celebrities.
