Scream 7’ Set for February 2026 Release

Neve Campbell and Kevin Williamson delighted Scream" fans on Tuesday by announcing on Instagram that Paramount Pictures will release the seventh installment of the classic meta-horror franchise on February 27, 2026.

Following her departure from "Scream VI" in 2023 due to a pay dispute, it was previously reported that Campbell would reprise her role as Sidney Prescott, the series' longtime heroine. Due to its satire of slasher film tropes, "Scream," created by Williamson and directed by Wes Craven, became one of the most influential horror series of the 1990s.

After the 2011 release of "Scream 4," the series went on hiatus for more than a decade before being resurrected in 2022 by Paramount and Spyglass with a fifth installment in which newcomers Melissa Barrera, Jack Quaid, Mikey Madison, and Jenna Ortega joined Campbell and David Arquette and Courteney Cox, who had been on the show for a long time. The movie was a big hit, making $138 million on a $24 million budget. Gen Z moviegoers flocked to see the 90s franchise in theaters, bridging generations.

"Shout 7" joins a February 2026 record that actually must be finished up. Along with a Marvel Studios film that has not yet been announced, Sony Pictures has set "GOAT," an animated film produced by NBA champion Stephen Curry, to release on Valentine's Day weekend.
