‘Mean Girls’ Dances Past ‘The Beekeeper’ to Win Slow Weekend With $6.9M Box Office

 On Sunday, both Mean Young ladies and The Beekeeper asserted triumph in the midst of a generally drowsy end of the week at the homegrown film industry.


It turns out Mean Young ladies was correct. According to weekend actuals, Amazon MGM Studios' The Beekeeper earned $6.7 million, while Paramount's musical teen comedy earned $6.9 million.
