Kraven the Hunter’ Trailer: Aaron Taylor-Johnson Stars in Bloody Spider-Man Villain Origin Story

In the first trailer for Sony's "Kraven the Hunter," Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who is well-known on Variety, is spotted pursuing large game.

A villain's origin story is hinted at in the new movie. Kraven is a vicious predator who targets Spider-Man in comic book stories. Additionally, he is frequently portrayed as a member of the Sinister Six, a group of supervillains.

"Kraven the Hunter," the latest entry in Sony Pictures' Marvel character universe that also includes the Spidey spinoffs "Venom" and "Morbius" and the upcoming "Madame Web," will be shown in theaters on October 6. Along with Ariana DeBose, Christopher Abbott, Alessandro Nivola, Russell Crowe, and Fred Hechinger, Taylor-Johnson appears in the film.
The film will explore how Sergei Kravinoff transforms from a young boy raised in harsh conditions into a murderous menace, as the trailer suggests that "villains aren't born — they're made." Kraven hunts his prey with unmatched vigor, armed with a wide range of weapons and superhuman abilities like enhanced strength, speed, agility, stamina, and longevity.

Taylor-Johnson appeared on stage for Sony's first teaser of the movie in April at the film exhibitor industry event Cinema Con, where she showed footage to theater owners. The actor stated that "Kraven" would be rated R and promised some bloody violence during the introduction. Marvel fans had speculated that Tom Hardy's "Venom" and Jared Leto's "Morbius" might receive R ratings prior to their release, but the MPAA rated both films PG-13. Kraven” is Sony's first Marvel film with an R rating.

J.C. Chandor directs “Kraven the Hunter,” and Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach produce. The screenplay was written by Richard Wenk, Matt Holloway, and Art Marcum.
