Rosamund Pike Set to Star in and Produce ‘Feed,’ Body Horror Movie From Leslye Headland

Rosamund Pike will star in and produce Feed a new body horror movie from The Acolyte director Leslye Headland and screenwriter Daniella Isaacs.

Drawing creative impetus from the 2022 Finnish horror film "Hatching," the official logline for "Feed" states: "When a desperate mother uncovers a niche collagen supplement that pledges to transform her tween gymnast daughter into an influencer sensation, the renown and triumph they yearn for arrive swiftly.

Yet as her daughter ascends to viral prominence, she embarks upon a monstrous metamorphosis."

Joshua Jackson offers a self-deprecating commentary on his upcoming HBO Max series, *How to Survive Without Me*, which satirizes the *Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll* trope, quipping that he feels increasingly aged out of such narratives.

As Pike stated, "For an extended period, I have harbored the aspiration to craft a cinematic work that engages in a deliberately anarchic exploration of our collective fixation on social media and self-improvement, our yearning for celebrity absent any demonstrable or praiseworthy talent, and, to be unequivocal, the monstrosity inherent in contemporary motherhood; 'Feed' confronts each of these intertwined themes."

Produced under the Primitive Streak banner by Pike, the project also benefits from the involvement of Shelley Browning for Magnolia Entertainment, Steven Schneider for Spooky Pictures, Ara Keshishian and Petr Jakl for ZQ Entertainment, and Sam Ritzenberg for Agile Films, with ZQ Entertainment providing development financing.

International sales rights are being represented by The Veterans, while CAA Media Finance has secured the United States market.Sales activities are scheduled to commence at the American Film Market commencing next week.

Describing Daniella's screenplay as audacious, harrowing, and profoundly human, Headland hailed Rosamund as one of the most daring performers of her generation.

He expressed his fortune in collaborating with two women whose artistic merits he holds in the highest regard, noting that no other partners could have been better suited to navigate the story's most somber dimensions.

Renowned for her portrayals in "Gone Girl," "Pride & Prejudice," and "Die Another Day," Rose Byrne's most recent cinematic appearance was in Guy Ritchie's action-comedy "In the Grey," where she performed alongside Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Her filmography further encompasses titles such as "Ladies First," "Now You See Me: Now You Don't," and "Hallow Road." Looking ahead to 2027, Byrne is set to reteam with director Ritchie for "Wife and Dog," a production that will also feature the talents of Anthony Hopkins and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Following her tenure as director of the brief Disney+ series "The Acolyte," Headland has not yet returned to the director's chair.

Her previous television directing credits include "Single Drunk Female," "Almost Family," and "Black Monday," while her most recent feature film directing assignment, "Sleeping with Other People," dates back to 2015.Looking ahead, she is set to helm "Cult of Love," a Christmas-themed family dramedy that is currently in pre-production.

Pike maintains representation through CAA, United Agents, and Magnolia Entertainment, while Headland is represented by CAA and Sugar23; Isaacs, in turn, is represented by the Curtis Brown Group.
