According to TMZ, through her boyfriend Roy Hernandez, Chase died on Tuesday, June 16, due to meningitis and a blood infection that led to septic issues.
Hernandez shared on a recent GoFundMe update that Daveigh was diagnosed with meningitis and several serious blood infections.He said her condition became very critical, and the doctors told him she might not have much time left.
Chase started her TV career in 1998 with a role on "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch." She later appeared in guest roles on popular shows like "Charmed," "The Practice," "ER," and "Touched by Angel."
In 2002, she got her two biggest film roles: voicing Lilo in "Lilo & Stitch" and playing Samara, the girl from the well, in "The Ring." She also voiced the main character in the Disney Channel series "Lilo & Stitch: The Series" until 2006, and appeared in several "Lilo & Stitch" spin-off movies.
"Big Love" fans might remember her as Rhonda Volmer, a character she played from 2006 to 2011.
She was a regular in the first two seasons of the HBO show and appeared in later seasons as well.
Even though Chase hadn't posted on social media since 2017, her last Instagram post was a picture of her holding a balloon with the caption, "Unicorns do exist." Fans are leaving lots of messages of support and sadness in the comments.
