Bob’s Burgers’ Voice Actor Eugene Mirman Suffers Serious Injuries Following Car Crash

Eugene Mirman, who plays Gene Belcher on the show *Bob's Burgers*, was in a bad car accident on Tuesday in New Hampshire. The crash happened at the Bedford Toll Plaza, and Mirman was the driver of a 2026 Lucid Gravity. The police said it was a single-vehicle crash.

A state trooper who was part of Governor Kelly Ayotte's security team arrived at the scene.

He saw the car on fire and noticed a passenger inside. Mirman was pulled out through a window while the car was still burning. Governor Ayotte and others at the scene helped the trooper during the rescue.

Mirman, who is 51 years old, was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

No charges have been filed yet, and the investigation into the crash is still ongoing.

A representative for Mirman told The Hollywood Reporter, "Eugene was in a very scary car accident.

He wants to thank the bystanders, state police, first responders, and hospital staff who saved him. He is grateful to be on the mend. At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Eugene and his family as he focuses on recovering from his injuries."

Colonel Mark B. Hall, who was involved in the incident, said in a statement, "Their actions were heroic.

Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to help someone who needed it."

Governor Ayotte posted on X, thanking the trooper and bystanders for their brave efforts.

She also said she and her husband are praying for Mirman's full recovery.

Mirman has been part of *Bob's Burgers* since the show's first season.

He has voiced Gene Belcher in all 16 seasons of the animated series. He has also appeared in other shows like *Apple & Onion*, *Delocated*, and *The Simpsons*, as well as movies like *The Bob's Burgers Movie* and *Fletch*.

In addition to his voice work, Mirman is a stand-up comedian.

His latest comedy special, *Here Comes The Whimsy*, was released on Veeps on February 5. He shared the news on his Instagram.
