"Heated Rivalry," the popular HBO Max/Crave series created by Jacob Tierney, follows the love story of two professional hockey players, Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams.
It was given the award for outstanding new TV series. "Stranger Things" won the outstanding drama series award for its fifth and final season. "Traitors" took home the outstanding reality competition program award, while Bravo's "Southern Hospitality" was honored with the outstanding reality program award.
On the film side, "Kiss of the Spider Woman," Bill Condon's version of the Broadway musical starring Jennifer Lopez, Tonatiuh, and Diego Luna, won the outstanding wide theatrical release award.
The indie rom-com "Nice Indian Boy," starring Karan Soni and Jonathan Groff, and the drama "Plainclothes," featuring Tom Blyth and Russell Tovey, both received the limited theatrical release award.
The 37th annual GLAAD Media Awards, hosted by Jonathan Bennett at the Beverly Hilton, also gave out special honors.
Quinta Brunson was honored with the Vanguard Award, and "Las Culturistas" co-hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers were recognized with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award.
Liza Minnelli made a surprise appearance at the end of the ceremony to celebrate her 80th birthday on March 12 and the upcoming release of her memoir, "Kids, Wait Till Hear This!"
The event also featured performances by Demi Lovato and Sony Music Group artist Eli.
