‘Stranger Things’ co-creator Ross Duffer has shared the running times for the last four episodes of the series.

After the first four episodes of Season 5 were released on November 26, the show will return with three more episodes on Christmas Day, with the series finale airing on New Year’s Eve.
Episode 5, titled ‘Shock Jock,’ is one hour and eight minutes long, and Episode 6, ‘Escape from Camazotz,’ will run for one hour and 15 minutes, according to Duffer’s Instagram post. Episode 7, titled ‘The Bridge,’ goes back down to one hour and six minutes. The final episode of the Netflix sci-fi hit, Episode 8, ‘The Rightside Up,’ is the longest episode of the season at two hours and eight minutes.

The last episodes are similar in length to the first batch of Season 5, which is different from viral posts on social media and a report from Puck News that claimed the entire season would range from 90 minutes to two hours long.
Those rumors might have been influenced by the runtimes of Season 4. After the first three seasons mostly had hour-long episodes, the fourth season started at 70 minutes and the last three episodes were as long as a movie. The Season 4 finale, ‘The Piggyback,’ was a record at two hours and 22 minutes.

Duffer created ‘Stranger Things’ with his brother Matt Duffer.
The Duffers executive produce the series via their Upside Down Pictures banner alongside Shawn Levy of 21 Laps Entertainment and Dan Cohen.
