Watch the First Trailer for 'Scream 7' (2026)

The famous 'Scream' series is back, with Neve Campbell, who played Sidney Prescott in the original movies, returning as the main character. She now has to deal with a new Ghostface killer who is after her teenage daughter, played by Isabel May. The newest trailer for 'Scream 7' shows the movie going back to its original style, with exciting chase scenes and the return of some favorite characters like Courteney Cox’s Gale Weathers and Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown as Chad and Mindy Meeks-Martin. It also hints that Matthew Lillard, who was in the first few movies, might be coming back too.

This is the first movie in the series that Kevin Williamson directs.
He wrote the first 'Scream' movie in 1996, which was directed by Wes Craven, a famous horror director known for 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'. Williamson has only directed one other movie, a dark comedy called 'Teaching Mrs. Tingle' from 1999.

Neve Campbell is back in her original role, after not being in the previous movie, 'Scream VI'.
Isabel May, who acted in '1883', is playing Sidney’s daughter for the first time. The movie also brings back some old actors like David Arquette as Dewey Riley, and adds new actors such as Anna Camp from 'Pitch Perfect', Joel McHale from 'Community', and Mckenna Grace from 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife'.

Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, who were in the last two movies, are not part of this film.

'Scream 7' will be shown only in theaters on February 27, 2026.
