Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Nabs (Very) Early Season 3 Renewal at Disney+

Disney+ gives Percy Jackson and the Olympian an early stage in his future.

The streamer has renewed the series for its third season, based on the novel by author Rick Rick Riordan Quintet. The pickups far outperform Percy Jackson's second season, which will premiere two years after his first season's debut, according to Disney+.

"From the moment Percy Jackson and the Orlynpees debuted, it was clear that the series had made chords with fans of all ages," the Disney TV president said in a statement. With the second season in December, we were excited to see Percy's trip continue its third season. We would like to thank our incredible line - and our creative team, our 20th TV partner, and our visionary and talented producers who continue to bring the world of Rick Riordan to life with such depth and imagination.

Early updates allow the author and show crew to start work in the third episode, potentially reducing time between seasons. This is Jonathan E. Steinberg's co-runner who recently got a proper interview with the Hollywood Reporter.

"Part of the desire to maintain the process is knowing how to do everything to prepare, and have a conversation and plan," Steinberg said earlier this month. When we left Vancouver [film series], we accepted that we would be back soon.

The third season is based on the third book in Riordan's series, the Curse of the Titans, featuring fan favorite characters in Nicodie Angelo, a young demigod who is unfamiliar with camping. "We are very grateful to continue the story of Percy Jackson on Disney+," Riordan said in the explanation. This third season will become a new realm of the screen, bringing fan favorites like Artemis' Hunter and Nicodian Zero for the first time. It's a great sign of Disney's commitment, and speaks volumes about the enthusiasm that fandom embraced television shows. Thank you, demigods from all over the world!

Percy Jackson and the Olympian's first season will be nominated for Memmy Price (distributed on Saturday) for 16 children and family. The series was also popular with Disney+, bringing out more viewing times (measured at Nielsen) than other original shows on streamers outside the Marvel and Star Wars franchises. The second season will be starring Walker Scobel, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjon and Daniel Deemer. Other additions to the occupation include Tamara Smart, Andorra Day, Sandra Bernhardt, Kristen Schar, Margaret Chou, Rosemary DeWitt and Alex Pawnovich. Courtney B. Vance plays Zeus and takes on the role of the late Lance Redick.

Riordan and Steinberg created Percy Jackson and the Olympian. Steinberg and Dan Shotz include Rick and Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group, Slen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, and D.J. Goldberg, James Bobbin, Jim Lowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler and Sarah Watson.
