Deadpool & Wolverine’ Racks Up 19.4 Million Views in First Six Days on Streaming, Disney Says

Deadpool & Wolverine is off to a strong start with its streaming debut.

According to Disney, the Marvel Studios film reached 19.4 million streams (total watch time divided by runtime) worldwide in the first six days of streaming, when it became available on Disney+ on November 12. This makes it the most-watched live-action film on Disney+ or Hulu since the streaming release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in early 2023.

For comparison, Disney reported in September that the animated film Inside Out 2 garnered 30.5 million views in its first five days on Disney+. Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters in July 2024. Not only does the film mark Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool's entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it also sees Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine after stepping down from the role in 2017's Logan. In the film, Deadpool learns that the Time Variance Authority (TVA) plans to wipe out his universe, and is forced to team up with Wolverine from another timeline in the multiverse to save it.

The film also features returning stars from Marvel movies, including (spoiler alert) Wesley Snipes as Blade, Dafne Keen as X-23, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, and Chris Evans as Johnny Storm/Human Torch. Additionally, Channing Tatum makes his long-awaited debut as his X-Men character Gambit. Emma Corrin also played the role of villain Cassandra Nova in the film.

Deadpool & Wolverine was a huge financial success, grossing over $1.3 billion worldwide against a reported budget of $200 million.
