The movie is being directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, who co-wrote the script with Ellen Shanman. The action film "Red Notice," which will be released on Netflix in 2021 and stars Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as well as the 2018 film "Skyscraper," which also stars Johnson, were written and directed by Thurber.
At this time, plot details are being kept very secret. Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures, Bob Koplar, Thurber, and David Hoberman of Hobie Films are among the producers.
Cavill will join Daniel Quinn-Toye, a film newcomer who has appeared on television in "Badults" and played Tom Holland's understudy in "Romeo & Juliet" on the West End this spring. The "Voltron" television series follows a group of space explorers who control a huge super robot. Cavill will join Quinn-Toye, who was previously mentioned as a star. Toei Animation adapted several Japanese anime television series into the franchise, which has resulted in several American series, including the eight-season Netflix series "Voltron: Amazing Safeguard."
In the Marvel summer blockbuster "Deadpool and Wolverine," Cavill most recently made a cameo appearance as the Wolverine variant "Cavillrine." Matthew Vaughan's "Argylle" and Guy Ritchie's "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" are two other 2024 credits.
Cavill will next be seen in Lionsgate's "Highlander" reboot directed by Chad Stahelski and Ritchie's "In The Grey," an action-adventure movie. He will also serve as executive producer on all Amazon MGM Studios productions based on the "Warhammer 40,000" franchise.
WME and 2PM Sharp represent Cavill.
