Kraven the Hunter’ Moves to December Release as Sony Pushes ‘Karate Kid’ to May 2025

Sony's "Kraven the Tracker" is being pushed back from its August delivery, moving to Dec. 13, 2024. It will be shown in premium large format and IMAX.

The film assumes control over "Karate Youngster's" unique delivery date, which has been changed to May 30, 2025. It will presently bow in venues after the 6th and last time of "Cobra Kai" debuts on Netflix.

Sony is promoting "Kraven" as an R-rated option for the end of the year with an open release date that is highly anticipated around Christmas.

Featuring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, "Kraven the Tracker" unloads the history behind the Wonder antagonist, set before his famous feud against Insect Man. Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott and Russell Crowe likewise star.

J.C. Chandor is in charge of the film's direction. Richard Wenk wrote the story, and Wenk, Art Marcum, and Matt Holloway wrote the screenplay. It's created by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and David Householter.

Sony has likewise added "They Tune in" from Columbia Pictures and Blumhouse to the delivery schedule, opening it in "Kraven's" unique date of Aug. 30, 2024. Chris Weitz is in charge of writing, directing, and producing it, along with Jason Blum, Chris Weitz, and Andrew Miano. Beatriz Sequeira, Paul O. Davis, Dan Balgoyen, and Britta Rowings are the executive producers.

Sony's "Karate Youngster" will star Ben Wang in the nominal job, close by Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen, Aramis Knight, Wyatt Oleff and returning establishment entertainers Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio. Rob Lieber wrote the screenplay, which Karen Rosenfelt produced alongside Jonathan Entwistle as director.

"Animal Friends" from Legendary Entertainment has also been scheduled for August 15, 2025. The film, written by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider and starring Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza, Daniel Levy, Lil Rel Howery, Addison Rae, and Ellie Bamber, will combine animated and live-action characters. Emmy-winning chief Peter Atencio coordinates the adults-only excursion experience. Maximum Effort, run by Ryan Reynolds, and Prime Focus Studios, run by producer Namit Malhotra, are producing alongside Legendary.
