House of the Dragon’ Season 2 Trailer: War Wages in Westeros; Cregan Stark Actor and More Revealed

A new trailer for the second season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" prequel series shows that "House of the Dragon" is back on fire.

Season 2 commitments considerably more mythical beast fighting, as Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower's powers clash — indeed, winged serpent to mythical beast. The trailer shows Daemon Targaryen getting ready in his amazing protective layer, knights riding a horse, warriors consuming alive and a few of the fundamental cast riding their winged serpents into fight.

Rhaenyra declares, "There is no war so vile to the gods as a war between relatives." But also, her aunt Rhaenys Targaryen reminds her, "And no war so bloody as a war between dragons."

The fundamental "Place of the Mythical beast" cast returns, alongside a few new faces. The new key part incorporate Tom Taylor as Ruler Cregan Distinct, Clinton Freedom as Addam of Frame, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne.

Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D'Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham are among the cast members who are returning. Toward the beginning of November, HBO Chief Casey Bloys affirmed that Season 2 of the dream show series would debut in "late-spring" 2024.

Based on George R. R. Martin's "Fire & Blood," "House of the Dragon" takes place during the Targaryen dynasty's peak approximately 200 years before "Game of Thrones" and 172 years before Daenerys Targaryen's birth. After Princess Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) was chosen as King Viserys I's heir (Patty Considine), the political turmoil that "Game of Thrones" was known for returned in Season 1. Rhaenyra later becomes queen and wed Daemon (Matt Smith), her uncle. A power struggle between Rhaenyra and Daemon and King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney), Rhaenyra's half-brother, brings Westeros to the brink of civil war.

Season 1 of "House of the Dragon" was HBO's biggest ever series premiere, attracting nearly 10 million viewers when it first aired. It got an early reestablishment right away subsequently.

Martin is co-maker and chief maker; Ryan Condal is co-maker, showrunner and chief maker; Sara Hess, Alan Taylor, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Loni Peristere, and Vince Gerardis are the executive producers.
