Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, Robert De Niro's grandson and actor in "A Star Is Born," has passed away. He was 19.
Robert De Niro said in a proclamation to Assortment, "I'm profoundly upset by the death of my cherished grandson Leo. We're enormously energetic about the sympathies from everybody. We ask that we if it's not too much trouble, be given protection to lament our deficiency of Leo."
Drena De Niro, Rodriguez's mom and girl of Robert De Niro and his most memorable spouse Diahnne Abbott, reported her child's passing in a post on Instagram Sunday. She stated, "My delightful sweet heavenly messenger. I have adored you beyond anything describable or depiction from the second I felt you in my tummy. You were my happiness, my heart, and everything that was ever real and pure in my life. I wished I could be with you now. I long to be with you. I don't have any idea how to live without you yet I'll attempt to continue and spread the adoration and light that you so caused me to feel in becoming your mom. You were so profoundly cherished and appreciated and I wish that adoration alone might have saved you . Please accept my apologies my child. Please accept my apologies. My beloved son, rest in peace and eternal bliss.
"It is with immeasurable shock and sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved son Leo," Drena said in a statement to Variety. We ask for privacy at this time to process this inconsolable grief and thank you for the outpouring of love and support.
Rodriguez and Drena De Niro played mother-child couple Paulette Stone and Leo Stone in Bradley Cooper's 2018 film "A Star Is Conceived." They also appeared together in the films "The Collection," released in 2005, and "Cabaret Maxime," released in 2018.
The Hollywood people group has previously answered Rodriguez's passing, leaving remarks on Drena's Instagram post about her child. Entertainer Debi Mazar stated, "I have no words … I'm in shock. Please accept my apologies… @drenadeniro @carlosmare, I love you both to such an extent."
Victoria Gotti shared a genuine message recalling Rodriguez, "Such an attractive sovereign. You were such a playful, handsome, amicable, and amazing young boy who grew into an amazing young man from the day I first laid eyes on you, when you were three years old and turning four. A young life tragically cut short. I adore you, baby boy! Dearest Drena you were an Incredible 'involved' mother. It enhanced your physical and emotional beauty even further! Leo SO valued the Affection you gave him and held you so beyond a doubt in his heart. As I probably am aware you generally did likewise with him."
“Drena heartbroken for you, such a duo, I can’t imagine how you must feel, may the Lord cover you and hold you in his arms, at this very sad time and loss...I love you, always here for you,” Naomi Campbell wrote in her condolences.
