‘The Bear’ Viewership Spikes 70% With Season 2 Launch, Marking FX’s Most-Watched Hulu Premiere

Over the weekend, viewers of FX's "The Bear" said "Yes, chef" to the second season, spending a lot of time outside the kitchen and in front of the television.

When compared to the FX comedy's Season 1 stats over that same post-premiere period, on Tuesday, FX and Hulu announced that "The Bear" Season 2 had seen a 70% increase in total hours streamed in the first four days following its launch on June 22.

(The first season of "The Bear," which debuted on June 23, 2022, had eight episodes; the second season has ten.) At the start of both seasons, all of the available episodes were removed.)

Although the Disney-owned brands stated that the second season's debut performance made it the most-watched Hulu premiere of any FX series, FX and Hulu did not disclose the actual streaming viewership figures for the episode. The first season of "The Bear," according to Hulu, was the most-watched comedy series in FX history. FX and Hulu did not specify which FX titles had previously held these records on Hulu.

According to the official logline provided by FX, "The Bear" Season 2 follows Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto (portrayed by Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu (portrayed by Ayo Edebiri), and Richard "Richie" Jerimovich (portrayed by Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they attempt to transform their filthy sandwich joint into a spot of the highest caliber. The crew embarks on transformative journeys of their own as they deconstruct the restaurant, forcing each member to confront their past and consider who they want to be in the future.

White, Edebiri, Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson star in the advertisement for "The Bear." Molly Gordon, Oliver Platt, and Edwin Lee Gibson are among the regular cast members.

Christopher Storer made the series and chief produces close by Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai ("Atlanta," "Station Eleven") of Super Frog, Josh Senior and Matty Matheson. Tyson Bidner is a maker.

FX Productions produces the show.
