Emmys May Be Delayed (to 2024?) If AMPTP, WGA Don’t Reach Deal Soon

Depending on when the AMPTP and WGA reach an agreement on a new contract, the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards may be postponed until January 2024.

If the WGA strike continues into the late summer, the organizers of TV's starriest night are considering moving this year's ceremony, which is currently scheduled for Sept. 18 and will air on Fox, to a later date, according to the New York Times.

The Emmys may even be postponed until January of next year if the two parties are unable to come to an agreement by the beginning of August. This is because it is possible that the Screen Actors Guild will go on strike this summer, preventing its members from attending as well. Fox and the Television Academy didn't say anything about the Times' reporting.)
