Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo attended the *Wicked: For Good* Asia-Pacific premiere in Singapore on November 13, 2025.
Ariana was approached by a fan on the red carpet, and Cynthia had to deal with an intruder.
In the movie, Ariana plays Glinda and Cynthia plays Elphaba.
The final trailer for *Wicked: For Good* shows how the characters are connected to *The Wizard of Oz* and how they feel about their past at Shiz.
Advance tickets for *Wicked: For Good* started on October 8.
So far, it's the biggest opening for a movie this year in the U.S. and the biggest for a PG-rated movie. It's even bigger than *A Minecraft Movie*, which made $162.7 million.
The advance ticket sales for *Wicked: For Good* are now higher than previous PG-rated hits like *Beauty and the Beast* ($174.7 million in 2017), last year’s *Wicked*, and *Frozen 2* ($130.2 million).
*Wicked: For Good* also beat other big movies like *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle* ($70.6 million), *Superman* ($125 million), and *Taylor Swift | The Official Release Party of a Showgirl* ($34 million) in ticket sales so far.
When ticket sales for *Wicked: For Good* started on October 30, the expected opening was between $112 million and $115 million.
Some sources now think the projection is even higher. The first *Wicked* made $112.5 million, which was a record for a movie based on a Broadway show. However, for a movie that appeals to women, ticket sales can be very strong early on, so this doesn’t always predict the final opening.
The biggest PG opening ever in the U.S. was *The Lion King* in 2019, which made $191.7 million.
Jerramy Hainline, EVP of Fandango, said, "With fans breaking records on Fandango when tickets first went on sale for *Wicked: For Good*, it was clear that this electrifying finale to the worldwide sensation would soar to the same heights as the first film.
Audiences are in for a true cinematic event as they return to Oz, experiencing it on the biggest screen possible as it was meant to be seen."
