Michael B. Jordan in Talks to Star in New ‘Miami Vice’ Movie

Michael B. Jordan is talking about starring in a new Miami Vice movie that's being made by Universal and the F1 director Joseph Kosinski. If everything goes through, he'll play Ricardo Tubbs, one of the famous police partners called Crockett & Tubbs. James Crockett hasn't been cast yet.

The movie will look at the shiny and shady parts of Miami in the mid-1980s.
It's a fresh take on the original show, inspired by the first few seasons and the pilot episode. The original show was created by Anthony Yerkovich and had Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas as undercover cops who loved fast boats and colorful suits.

In 2006, Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell were in a movie called Miami Vice directed by Michael Mann.
That movie made over $163 million worldwide.

The new movie is being made by Dylan Clark, who worked on The Batman, and Joseph Kosinski.
It's written by Eric Warren Singer and Dan Gilroy, based on characters created by Anthony Yerkovich.

Universal hasn't made any official comments about it.
