Kelley Mack, ‘9-1-1’ and ‘The Walking Dead’ Actress, Dies At 33

Kelley Mack, an American TV actress who was in AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” “9-1-1,” and “Chicago Med,” passed away on August 2. She was 33 years old.

Her family shared in a statement that she died in her hometown of Cincinnati after fighting a glioma, which is a type of brain tumor.

Kelley graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 2010 and got a bachelor’s degree in cinematography from the Dodge College of Film at Chapman University in 2014.

She started doing commercials as a child after getting a small video camera for her birthday. Later, she won an acting award from Tisch School of the Arts for her first role in “The Elephant Garden,” a film that also won the Student Visionary Award at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2008.

Kelley was most recognized for her TV roles, including playing Addy in Season 9 of “The Walking Dead,” and Penelope Jacobs in Season 8 of “Chicago Med” and on FOX’s “9-1-1.”

She also appeared in movies like “Broadcast Signal Intrusion,” “Delicate Arch,” and played Ricky in a movie called “Universal” that hasn’t been released yet.

She also worked as a screenwriter, often collaborating with her mother, Kristen Klebenow.

They wrote several full-length scripts together, including “On The Black,” a story set in the 1950s about college baseball, which is loosely based on her maternal grandparents who went to Ohio University.

Kelley is survived by her parents, Kristen and Lindsay Klebenow, her sister Kathryn, her brother Parker, and her grandparents, Lois and Larry Klebenow.
