CBS is starting to assemble the cast for its Yellowstone spinoff, titled Y: Marshals. The show centers around Kayce Dutton, Luke Grimes' Yellowstone character, as he joins an elite U.S. Marshal team. Set in Montana, the series will showcase Kayce balancing family, duty, and the psychological toll of serving as the area's last line of defense against violence. Logan Marshall-Green (And Just Like That, Carry-On) has been cast as Pete Calvin, an old buddy from Kayce's military days. Y: Marshals is slated to debut in early 2026.
Noteworthy figures in the production include executive producer Taylor Sheridan, showrunner Spencer Hudnut (SEAL Team), and writer of the premiere episode.
John Linson, Art Linson, Grimes, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Yaitanes (director of the premiere), Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox also serve as executive producers. The series hails from Yellowstone producers MTV Entertainment Studios (rumored to be renamed Paramount TV Studios following the Paramount Skydance merger), and 101 Studios. Marshall- Green's other works include ABC's Big Sky, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Quarry. He is represented by CAA, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Goodman Genow.
