Robert Pattinson’s ‘Mickey 17’ Makes $2.5 Million in Previews

The box office is inviting back Robert Pattinson — a parcel of him.

Pattinson stars in “Mickey 17,” an R-rated sci-fi motion picture from “Parasite” chief Bong Joon Ho, where he plays different clones of the same individual who kicks the bucket more than once. The Warner Bros. motion picture has made $2.5 million in Thursday sneak peaks at the box office so far.

It’s on track to open locally with $18 million to $20 million this end of the week and $20 million to $25 million globally. That would put its worldwide opening at $40 million to $45 million. “Mickey 17” taken a toll $118 million to make, so it’ll require around $275 million to $300 million at the worldwide box office to turn a benefit, which will be a challenge.

Based on the book “Mickey 7” by creator Edward Ashton, “Mickey 17” is Bong’s to begin with film since 2019’s “Parasite,” which won the Foundation Grants for best picture, executive, unique screenplay and universal highlight. Pattinson is Mickey Barnes, an disposable laborer who’s sent to an unwelcoming planet distant out in space to colonize it. As portion of his interestingly lethal work, Mickey is subjected to dangerous outer-space conditions and brought back to life as a revived clone. Like the title proposes, Mickey is on his 17th cycle of himself. Be that as it may, things take a turn when an 18th form of himself is incidentally cloned, breaking the no-multiples run the show on the dispatch. The “Mickey 17” cast moreover incorporates Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette, Check Ruffalo and more.

With small competition at the box office, “Mickey 17” will be the box office champ, beating out Marvel’s “Captain America: Courageous Modern World,” which has been playing in theaters since Feb. 14.
